Veterinarian BVSc (Honours)
Sarah graduated from University of Queensland Veterinary School in 1993 and immediately took up a full- time position in Small Animal Practice in Rockhampton. After two years working there she returned to Brisbane and worked as a locum vet for 18 months and then married her husband Terry, also a veterinarian.
They had their first child and after that moved back to Rockhampton.
Sarah now works on a part-time basis with dogs, cats, wildlife and exotic species.
Her interests include cat and dog medicine and soft tissue surgery. She has two dogs, two cats, five chickens, three horses, one parrot and assorted fish that occupy the time her two human children don't occupy. She also acts as an advisory vet on a board that oversees the ethical use of animals in research. When time permits she relaxes by exercising, reading, gardening and sewing.
